| The Visit of MUBS Guild President, H.E. Nantamu Arthur |

In the last week of March 2009, ICITD was graced with the visit of the Guild President, H.E. Nantamu Arthur, of Makerere University Business School (MUBS). The President was given a briefing and interaction with students, faculty and research scholars in the College of Business, Southern University (see below). He was also given an exposition on how ICT is used to support learning and teaching activities in the College of Business. He also had an opportunity to meet the President, Dr. Ralphael Slaughter, and the Vice-President, Dr Moses Napoleon, of the Southern University System.
He gave a speech in the undergraduate class of Prof. Mbarika, where he intrigued the students on MUBS degree programmes, the admission process and development being made in using ICT for teaching and learning. The visit fostered a closer collaboration between ICITD, Southern University and MUBS. A follow-up visit is to be planned for students in Southern University to visit Makerere University Business School. |
